The Word is Alive!
God's Word is alive! A two edged sword that pierces darkness like it was nothing. The power by which we declare something not yet there and it is. The wisdom by which when we live our lives by it, we will always live a prosperous life. In it's pages is the greatest love story ever told, summarized by one sentence in the book: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).
I promise you though, God's word is awesome. I can be going through something or have something on my mind, and I'll open the Bible and I'll find something relating EXACTLY to what I was thinking. I was somewhat struggling this morning feeling forgiven for something, but I took the Bible and opened it to a random Psalm, and lo and behold, it was Psalms 103, the main purpose of which is telling how merciful God is and how he will always forgive the transgressions of those who fear him (a line from the Psalm made famous by Casting Crowns "He will cast your sins as far as the east is from the west.") Jesus is so awesome :D!
